Hi, I’m Ellie Richter, a certified and licensed bilingual speech-language pathologist based in St. Charles, Missouri, with nearly 15 years of experience. I specialize in teletherapy, and I’m passionate about helping both children and professionals succeed in the virtual speech therapy space.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and my master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology from Saint Louis University. After completing my clinical fellowship in Houston, Texas, I pursued additional post-graduate education credits at the University of Louisiana-Monroe to stay on top of the latest developments in the field.

Since 2010, I’ve supported children's communication development in both English and Spanish across various settings, including elementary schools, early childhood centers, home health, private clinics, nonprofit clinics, and in person and virtually. I currently offer virtual school contracting in Florida, Illinois, Minnesota, and Missouri.

In addition to providing therapy, I’m dedicated to helping other speech-language pathologists (SLPs) make the transition into telepractice with confidence. My signature course, The Essential Teletherapist, equips SLPs with the tools, strategies, knowledge, and long-term mentorship they need to kick off their virtual career and thrive in telepractice. I also offer consult-coaching sessions to help fellow SLPs excel in teletherapy, from choosing the right technology to keeping clients engaged.

I’m also the host of The Essential Teletherapist podcast, a lighthearted and insightful show where I aim to build a community of remote SLPs. Each episode features interviews with teletherapists sharing their experiences and tips on how to excel in virtual speech therapy.

Through my courses, consulting, and podcast, my goal is to support both clients and professionals by bringing innovative and accessible speech therapy to everyone who needs it.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with her husband and two young children, James (6.5) and Juniper (baby), both of whom love testing the therapy materials for quality assurance.

I LOVE gardening and cooking - finding inspiration from my favorite chefs, Vivian Howard, Kathleen Ashmore, and Barbara Costello.
